Crushed Coral Rubble is used in an acidic tank to buffer the pH to close to 7.

Although not needed for low pH species, it is a good way to buffer your tank so your tank doesn't pH crash.

Remember a pH crash will cause burns to your fish which will result in death.

If you have a African or Marine tank then Coral Rubble is essential.
