Creating an Australian Native Aquarium

A native aquarium doesn't need to be complicated. Depending on the species you're keeping, a natural setup can include:

Australia has some incredible aquarium fish hiding in plain sight. While Rainbowfish receive much of the attention internationally, our gudgeons and smaller native species can be every bit as interesting. Some are colourful, some are masters of camouflage and others are miniature predators packed with personality. If you've kept the usual Tetras, Rasboras and livebearers and want to explore something different, Australian natives are well worth discovering.
