Common Whiptails (Rineloricaria spp.) are a group of freshwater catfish commonly kept in aquariums. They are native to South America, and are known for their long, slender bodies and whisker-like barbels. These catfish are generally peaceful and make good additions to community tanks, as they help keep the aquarium clean by feeding on algae and leftover food. In terms of care, they prefer aquariums with plenty of hiding places, moderate to strong water flow, and a sandy substrate. They are also hardy and can adapt to a range of water parameters.
