What is the history of these fish in Australia?

These fish came to Australia back in 2014 when they were just described. The wild caught specimens were quite strong in comparison and Australia obtained them by the thousands. However we were fortunate whereby the breeders that are experienced in keeping and breeding Danios got hold on them and started breeding them in Victoria and Queensland.

Ever since then, CPDs are considered to be a seasonal staple and rightly so. They are a beautiful fish.
