\nEndemic to the rio Guaporé drainage in western Brazil and northeastern Bolivia, where the river is known as the Iténez.

\nType locality is given as ‘Main stream of upper Rio Guaporé, Rondônia, Brazil’.
\nMaximum Standard Length
\n45 – 50 mm.
\nMaintenance
\nIdeally use a substrate of fine sand, although rounded gravel is an acceptable alternative provided it’s kept scrupulously clean.

\nOther décor is largely down to personal choice, but some cover should be provided to give the fish security.
