Pelvicachromis pulcher, commonly known as Kribensis, is a freshwater fish of the cichlid family, endemic to Nigeria and Cameroon. A shy fish, it nonetheless has spectacular rainbox colouring. Contrary to popular belief, they do not thrive in brackish conditions, but prefer freshwater conditions. The shy nature of the fish make them perfect for those with a penchant for aquascaping as they enjoy hiding in cave-like structures and can exist in relative harmony with other fish.
